Accessibility Statement
CutTheCard is built to be usable by everyone, including people who use screen readers, keyboards, voice control, magnification, or other assistive technology.
Our commitment
We design and test CutTheCard to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2, Level AA. That is the standard most commonly used to measure conformance with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and with federal and state accessibility laws. Accessibility is a standing requirement for every page and feature we add, not a one-time project.
What we do
- Every page can be used with a keyboard alone, with a visible focus indicator and a “Skip to main content” link.
- Text and controls meet minimum colour-contrast ratios in both the dark and light themes.
- Forms have labels, and errors are announced to screen readers.
- Pop-up dialogs trap and restore keyboard focus and can be closed with the Escape key where closing is allowed.
- Pages reflow for small screens and zoom up to 400% without losing content, and we honour your device’s reduced-motion setting.
- Each release is checked with automated testing, and we supplement it with manual keyboard and screen-reader review.
Known limitations
- Automated testing cannot find every problem, and we are still completing manual screen-reader review of some complex screens, such as the Debt Reduction Plan timeline.
- Downloadable year-end exports (Excel and Word) are generated from your data. We are reviewing them for accessible structure.
- Payments are completed on Stripe’s hosted checkout pages, which are operated by Stripe and covered by Stripe’s own accessibility practices.
- Guides and blog articles may link to third-party sites we do not control.
Tell us about a problem
If you have difficulty using any part of CutTheCard, or need information in another format, please contact us. Tell us the page address, what you were trying to do, and the assistive technology you use if you are comfortable sharing it.
- Use the Contact & Support form (choose “Site issue”), or
- email support@cutthecard.net.
We aim to respond within 2 business days and will work with you to give you the information or service you need, or to fix the barrier.
